Privacy policy

This policy explains how Unha, a service of Webcof ("we", "us"), handles your personal data when you use https://unha.webcof.com or contact us. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

  • Details you give us in the form: name, mobile number, pincode, type of home and your monthly electricity bill.
  • Anti-spam signals: how long the page was open and whether it was used by a person, and, if enabled, a bot check by Cloudflare Turnstile. These help us block fake and automated submissions.
  • Anything you share later on call or WhatsApp, such as a photo of your electricity bill.
  • Technical data: pages visited, device and browser type, and the ad or link that brought you to us, collected through cookies and similar tools from Google Analytics and Meta.

Why we use it

  • To call or message you about rooftop solar and the subsidy you asked about.
  • To introduce you to verified solar vendors who serve your area.
  • To send you updates after installation, such as subsidy stage reminders and service reminders, if you choose to continue.
  • To measure and improve our website and advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Solar vendors: we share your name, mobile number, pincode and solar requirement with at most 2 verified vendors, only for the purpose of giving you a site visit and quote.
  • Service providers: tools we use to run the service, such as Google (Sheets, Analytics) and Meta (advertising measurement), under their own data protection terms.
  • We do not sell your data to anyone else, and we do not share it with any other company for its own marketing.
  • We may disclose data if required by law.

Your consent and choices

We use your data based on the consent you give when you tap the button on our form. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP on WhatsApp or emailing us. After that we stop contacting you and ask vendors we shared your details with to stop too.

Your rights

You can ask us for a summary of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, and raise a grievance. Email hello@webcof.com with the subject "Privacy request". We reply within 7 working days.

How long we keep it

We keep lead details for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, or longer if you become a customer and need post-installation support. Then we delete or anonymise them.

Security

Access to lead data is limited to our team members who need it, and we use reasonable security safeguards to protect it.

Children

Our service is meant for adult homeowners. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
